I love War Eagle and the surrounding area. Back in the mid to late seventies I use to go to the fair up there almost every year. And like you...it was my intent to retire somewhere in the Northeast Arkansas area.
But...as you may also know the area has exploded with people and commerce. For me it just doesn't seem like the same "off the beaten track" place any more. Life does go on but sometimes you would rather it at least went "around"!
